There is no need to honk your horn!

I've been getting back in the habit of riding my bike- my goal is to be able to ride up to Grass Valley by the end of the summer. We'll see, I was able to do stuff like that in high school, of course that was 14 years ago. In any case, I want to make sure that I don't gain weight this summer like I do some summers because I'm not as active as I am during the school year.

So anyway, I've been riding down the street I live on for several miles into the county then back home, it's not a low traffic road, but not a city traffic road either. It's steady for the most part, but only two lanes. For all but a couple hundred yards there are shoulders big enough for my old bike. So, why are people honking at me? Most people are just fine, but a few people today were honking at me, as well as swerving way over into the middle of the road. If you're honking for me to know you are coming, I do have good ears and I can hear your car behind me. If you're honking because I'm in the road, you're very mistaken. Look at the lines in the road, I'm a couple feet away from the edge!

Tomorrow I plan to ride into the post office, hopefully this doesn't happen on the other roads I will have to take.
